2018 Summer Financial Aid Request
  • Summer aid is usually limited to unused aid eligibility from the Fall and Spring semesters. Intersession classes cannot be combined with Summer enrollment for Financial Aid purposes.
  • NEW THIS SUMMMER: Pell Grants may be available to students who are taking at least six hours in Summer, even if they received full-time Pell during Fall and Spring semesters.
  • A minimum of 6 hours of enrollment is required to receive a student loan.
  • Student loans will be paid in two equal disbursements during the Summer term.
  • Students must continue to meet Satisfactory Academic Progress standards to maintain eligibility for Financial Aid. Dropping or failing a class while receiving aid could result in Financial Aid Suspension for future terms.
  • The Financial Aid Office will determine eligibility for federal grants and loans for the Summer term. Please use LioNet 2017/18 academic year to accept/reduce/decline your aid offers.
  • To inquire about Federal Work-Study funding for Summer, please contact studentemployment@mssu.edu or 417.625.9398 to discuss your eligibility.
