Single Course Withdrawal Form
This form must only be submitted when you still have at least one class left on your schedule.

  • December 4th 2024, at 5 p.m.: Last day to withdraw from a single course with a "W" (no refund) and last day to withdraw from all courses with a "W". These dates are based on full-term Fall 2024 courses running August 19th - December 12th, 2024.

Considerations before you withdraw from a course:
  • You can only drop one course using this form. Submit additional forms to withdraw from other courses.
  • Courses withdrawn will receive a “W” grade.
  • To withdraw from all your courses, or your one and only course this semester, email the Financial Aid Office or call 417-625-9325.
  • CONSULT WITH YOUR ADVISOR AND/OR THE COURSE INSTRUCTOR BEFORE WITHDRAWING.
  • For general advising questions, you may email the Student Success Center or call 417-625-3550.
  • Withdrawing from a course may have both academic and/or financial aid consequences.
  • Examples of academic consequences may be degree completion timeline or course sequencing challenges. Therefore, consult with your instructor and/or advisor of your decision to withdraw from the class.
  • Examples of financial aid consequences may be the loss of a scholarship or the risk of financial aid suspension, which results in the loss of financial aid. Email your Financial Aid Counselor or call 417-625-9325 before withdrawing from a course.
  • Veteran aid may be impacted by course withdrawal. Contact the Veteran Services Coordinator or 417-625-3159 for more details.
  • Deadlines for Course Withdrawal for Part-Term courses will apply.

Rental Textbooks return: All RENTAL TEXTBOOKS NEED TO BE RETURNED TO THE BOOKSTORE BY THE MONDAY AFTER THE END OF THE SEMESTER. If your book(s) is not returned or received with a postmark on or before the due date, the buyout price of the book will be charged to your student account and the book is yours to keep. If you choose to return the book within 25 days beyond the due date, the book buyout price will be refunded and a $14 per hour, per book, extended rental fee will be assessed to your account.

Two Ways to Return Rental Textbooks:

  1. Place them in the after-hour book drop behind Billingsly Student Center.

If you are a member of a specific student group with special enrollment regulations, withdrawing may be determined in consultation with program requirements. Please make sure you contact such program staff for guidance.

The Registrar's Office will notify staff in these areas prior to processing your withdrawal request.

  • Allow 48 business hours for processing. You can verify that you have been withdrawn from a course by viewing the Lionet - Student Menu - Registration - Active Registration tab.
  • You will receive an email from the Office of the Registrar after this form has been submitted. This email will serve as your receipt.
