Foundation Scholarship Application

General Foundation Scholarship information: You may combine the Foundation Scholarship with other scholarships offered by Missouri Southern.

Note: By applying you will be considered for any one of 200 scholarships available through the Missouri Southern State University Foundation Scholarship Program. How to apply:
  1. Must apply or have applied for admission.
  2. Must complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  3. Transfer students must have transcripts on file with Registrar’s Office.
Students who complete and submit their FAFSA by April 1st EACH YEAR may qualify for the Access Missouri Grant. The Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE) receives electronic FAFSA records for Missouri residents from the federal government. They use these records to determine your eligibility, so no separate application is necessary for this grant. More information about the Access Missouri Grant is available at
Performance/Departmental awards may be combined with a Foundation Scholarship - however the combined awards may not exceed tuition and room and board, if residing in the residence hall.
Generally, Foundation scholarship criteria requires the student be enrolled full-time and have a 2.5 GPA each semester (NOT cumulative GPA). Foundation scholarship criteria requires the student be enrolled full-time and have a 2.5 GPA the first semester, and a 3.0 GPA each semester thereafter (NOT cumulative GPA). Other criteria may be applicable as designated by the donor.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to non-merit factors: race, sex, creed, or disability.
Applications must be received by March 1 of each year for priority consideration.

Scholarships are issued for one academic year. All scholarships are subject to change without notice and are subject to review by the scholarship committee upon receipt of funds and authorization by the Board of Governors.
